Ask the Nurse Practitioner

Lena Varner and Reeger Cortell are our nurse practitioners. They follow our patients closely after surgery in conjunction with your surgeon.

You are welcome to email them with general questions here. Responses may take a few days because Lena and Reeger are in the office some days and in the operating room on other days, so please be patient. If you have a specific medical concern it is important to call your doctor right away.

We offer other great resources here on our website as well. Feel free to participate in our Message Boards and check out our podcasts. It is always best to follow your personal surgeons instructions; but there’s always something new to learn as we grow ever more comfortable with the new healthy eating and activity in our lives after bariatric surgery!
